Iron Horse Trail

Stretching four miles in the Santa Clarita Valley, the Iron Horse Trail is a multi-use path that provides Valencia® community cyclists, walkers, joggers, and equestrians a safe and scenic pathway for both recreation and commuting. The trail, which enables pedestrians and bicyclists to easily connect from the South Fork Trail to the Valencia Industrial Center, features many amenities, including bike racks, a shade structure and benches, a parking lot, as well as a paved access road.

Newhall Land oversaw the planning, design, and construction of the trailhead before turning it over to the city of Santa Clarita, reflecting the best of private/public sector creativity and partnership. FivePoint's funding and construction of the trail is an example of the company's dedication to promoting wellness, connection, recreation, and community.

The trail’s centerpiece is the historic 1898 Iron Horse Trailhead Bridge, a steel-truss railroad bridge that spans the Santa Clara River near Magic Mountain Parkway and Interstate 5.

“Crossroads at Iron Horse Trailhead,” a 15-foot tall trailside sculpture by local artists, serves as the focal point of the entrance, greeting trail-goers as they enter the area and pointing them in the direction of Newhall Ranch, FivePoint's next development in the area.
