Sum of the Parks

Great Park Neighborhoods® adopts a unique approach to its park development, creating differently themed parks – such as earth, air/navigation, and water – that encourage residents to explore not only their own neighborhood’s park, but also other parks within the community. As residents explore the attractions of neighboring parks, they forge new connections with their neighbors and gain a sense that their community extends well beyond their immediate neighborhood. When it is completed, Great Park Neighborhoods will include at least one themed park per neighborhood, linked by a network of greenbelt and trails, which prioritize the pedestrian and bicycle experience and offer a healthy, safe, fun, and eco-friendly way to explore the area.

Decades-old heritage trees rescued from the U.S. Marine Corps Air Station El Toro have been preserved, relocated, and integrated prominently into the Great Park Neighborhoods Residential Parks.
