FivePoint Receives National Philanthropy Day Award FivePoint Receives National Philanthropy Day Award

FivePoint was selected as a 2020 National Philanthropy Day Award recipient within the Outstanding Midsize Corporation category for demonstrating a commitment to giving through financial support, leadership involvement and volunteerism. Two of its key collaborators – City of Hope and Irvine Public Schools Foundation – nominated FivePoint for the honor.

“Orange County has many philanthropic companies. It’s an honor to be among them, and I hope that this recognition will inspire more organizations to give back,” said FivePoint Chairman and CEO Emile Haddad. “When we collaborate with like-minded partners and dream together, our shared vision of creating a sustainable society that narrows gaps in social equity becomes a reality.”

The award was given to FivePoint on November 19, 2020 by the Orange County chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) during its 35th Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards event.

Typically held as an in-person luncheon that draws 900 business and nonprofit leaders in Orange County, the 2020 National Philanthropy Day Awards ceremony was held virtually for the first time. It is one of several celebrations hosted by AFP chapters across the United States and Canada following a proclamation of the day made by President Ronald Reagan in 1986.
