Approximately 100 members of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) took part in an Oct. 5, 2015, tour at The San Francisco Shipyard as part of ULI’s Fall meeting. The Fall Meeting attracts attendees from across the country and around the world each year and is the only event that brings together every sector of the real estate industry.
At The San Francisco Shipyard Welcome Home Center, tour-goers learned about FivePoint’s public planning and redevelopment approach to the project, which includes approximately 800 acres of bayfront property. FivePoint project managers detailed the site’s plans, which include approximately 12,000 homesites and roughly 4.1 million square feet of commercial space, making it one of the largest developments of its kind in the history of San Francisco.
The San Francisco Shipyard project managers also provided background and status briefings on the site’s commercial space, which will include a luxury urban outlet shopping district, as well as dedicated community space, artist studios, and a performance venue that celebrate the area’s cultural diversity and history as an artists’ colony.
