FivePoint’s La Shon Walker Receives Community Service Honor

As we celebrate Women’s History Month in March, FivePoint is proud to share our colleague La Shon Walker was named the 2021 recipient of a Community Service Award by the San Francisco Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW). With over 60 chapters nationwide, NCBW is an advocate and united voice for the health, education and economic empowerment of more than 22 million Black women in the United States.

Walker received the award during a virtual ceremony on March 13 for her longstanding contributions in guiding workforce development, wellness, education, and cultural enrichment programs for families within the Bayview community southeast of downtown San Francisco. FivePoint is creating two mixed-use communities – Candlestick and The SF Shipyard – in the Bayview area.

As Vice President of Community Relations for FivePoint, Walker is the ultimate connector and hands-on community advocate. In managing local charitable, outreach and grant programs, she ensures all community stakeholders are engaged and involved in shaping an equitable and sustainable city of the future.

Congratulations, La Shon!
