FivePoint Chairman and CEO Emile Haddad was a keynote speaker at the Los Angeles Business Council’s 2021 Annual Mayoral Housing, Transportation, and Jobs Summit on February 19, 2021. He shared his vision for FivePoint Valencia and a more sustainable California.
Haddad joined the region’s most influential voices in business, government and academia to discuss the current challenges in the region and propose solutions to California’s most pressing issues.
“Today should be a call to action,” Haddad said. “Those who have the power to call all of us to action should do so. We should not be dealing with the issues we may have disagreed on in times of peace, because today we are at war with the virus and its derivatives. We need to set everything else aside. We need to come together – public, private, education, it doesn’t matter. We need to put our resources together in order to win this battle. The future of our kids and grandkids is in the balance.”
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, State Senate Pro Tem Toni Atkins and US Congresswoman Maxine Waters also delivered keynote speeches.
